Rookie McDavid's highlight-reel goal leaves Jagr bug-eyed
Jaromir Jagr has scored quite a few goals in his impressive NHL career — OK, 726 to be exact — but a recent tally by top overall pick Connor McDavid caught the eye of the future Hall of Famer.
Here's the Edmonton Oilers rookie's goal:

And here's Jagr's "selfie" of his reaction on his official Twitter account:
I took a selfie when I watch McDavid score goal tonight. Not bad for 18 years old :) pic.twitter.com/8VZdCuMLzQ

The 43-year-old Jagr certainly has been impressed by the rookies of the NHL this season, and has had no qualms about heaping praise toward Max Domi of the Arizona Coyotes and Dylan Larkin of the Detroit Red Wings.
McDavid's last goal was no laughing matter, as he accepted a feed from Benoit Pouliot and made a highlight-reel deke before tucking the puck past Petr Mrazek in the Edmonton Oilers' 3-1 victory over the Red Wings on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old McDavid leads the Oilers in goals (four) and is tied with forward Nail Yakupov in points (six).
