Ryan Johansen hospitalized in offseason with accelerated heart rate, according to report
According to a report by Shawn Mitchell and Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Post Dispatch, Ryan Johansen was hospitalized "at least once" in the offseason with an accelerated heart rate.
Johansen, who is currently out with an undisclosed illness, left the team in Denver to head back to Columbus.
According to Johansen's agent, Kurt Overhardt, the undisclosed illness has nothing to do with Johansen's offseason accelerated heart issue.

General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen said that following Johansen's offseason hospital visit, Johansen met with team doctors and local cardiologists. Kekalainen said they couldn't find any issues with Johansen's heart.
Johansen, who is just 23-years-old, has a goal and five assists so far this season.
