Ryan Johansen undresses defender before scoring with top-shelf finish
It hasn't been the greatest of starts for Ryan Johansen this season in Nashville, but the Predators forward provided a pretty gorgeous highlight reel goal on Tuesday night.
With his team in Colorado facing off against the Avalanche, Johansen used his opening shift of the third period to undress an Avs defenseman before scoring with a beautiful finish. As Johansen rushed the zone, Colorado blue-liner Patrick Wiercioch gave him too much room to the inside and the Preds' centerman made him pay with a nifty move that opened up a clear path to the net.
Johansen's finish was nearly just as good, as he made Avs goalie Calvin Pickard bite on the pass fake before going top shelf while off-balance.
It wasn't the greatest of defensive efforts all-around by Colorado, Johansen certainly still deserves credit for making it look so easy.
