St. Louis Blues give free tickets to man who went viral for falling in love with hockey
A spurned St. Louis Rams fan discovered a newfound passion for hockey when he live-tweeted his first experience watching hockey during Game 7 between the St. Louis Blues and Chicago Blackhawks on Monday.
Twitter user @soIoucity (also known as Tony) tweeted Monday that he was trying to find the St. Louis Cardinals game on Fox Sports Midwest when he found the Blues game instead, and the fast-paced action of Game 7 immediately had him hooked.
He struggled to understand the end-of-game hockey strategy.
But luckily the Blues pulled through, and even though Tony had only been a fan for about an hour, he had clearly already bonded with his new favorite team.
His hilarious tweets went viral on hockey Twitter, and it did not take long for the Blues to reach out to one of their newest fans. The team offered him free tickets to Game 3 of their second-round series against the Dallas Stars.

Tony said he was broken-hearted when the Rams moved from St. Louis to Los Angeles earlier this year, but it looks like the Blues have now captured his heart.

But the bigger problem is deciding what to wear for his first game.
