Stars see two players ranked in Top 16 of THN's Top 50 NHLers
The Dallas Stars boast two of hockey's best players according to a recent rankings list by The Hockey News. The outlet released its annual rankings this week, and Jamie Benn came in at No. 12 while Tyler Seguin was ranked No. 16 overall. The top spot went to Montreal goalie Carey Price, an easy choice considering Price's Hart Trophy campaign during the 2014-15 season.
Benn and Seguin each moved up two spots from the 2014 list, when Seguin was ranked No. 18 and Benn was ranked No. 14. Benn led the league in scoring last year with 87 points in 82 games, a career-high for the 26-year-old.
Seguin, who missed 11 games due to injury, was close behind Benn in scoring, ranking seventh in the NHL with 77 points in 71 games.
In terms of forwards, Benn was surpassed on the list only by Jonathan Toews (No. 2), Alex Ovechkin (No. 3), Sidney Crosby (No. 4), John Tavares (No. 6), Steven Stamkos (No. 9), and Patrick Kane (No. 11).
