Stars' Seguin enrolls in acting classes after role in 'Goon' sequel
It never hurts to try something new, right? Now that Tyler Seguin has explored life as a model in ESPN The Magazine's 2015 body issue, he's venturing into acting.
The Stars forward will make a cameo appearance in the sequel to the 2011 hockey film Goon, and Seguin apparently enjoyed the process so much that he's exploring further acting roles -- or at least that's what his publicist seems to want him to do.
"My publicist has set up acting classes she wants me to take," Seguin told Sportsnet. "I’ve been kinda breezing them off a bit. She wants me to do it in August, and I’m free in August, so we’ll see."
Seguin shot his part in Goon earlier this summer along with Flyers defenseman Michael Del Zotto, and he said the two did so well that they turned what was supposed to be a one-liner into a longer scene.
"We had a good time," Seguin said to Sportsnet. "The last scene was very much improv. My mother probably won’t be happy with the language being used, but it’s also a hockey rink and that’s what goes on."
