Tavares' old-school jacket is quite the sight (PHOTO)
New York Islanders captain John Tavares is all of 25 years of age, but the jacket he wore on Monday might have been older.
After scoring two goals and setting up another in his team's 5-2 victory over the Arizona Coyotes, Tavares met the media wearing a button-up varsity jacket with the Islanders logo above his heart.
The orange sleeves with an old-school Eastern Conference logo provided a nice touch, although the look might have gone over better had Tavares smiled during the interviews.
The jacket was purchased off eBay by defenseman Johnny Boychuk last season, according to the New York Post.
"Oh, it's a beauty," Tavares told reporters.
No argument here.
