Testing the hockey gods? Subban drinks from Stanley Cup

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 2:39 p.m. ET

P.K. Subban may have upset the hockey gods.

One of the most important unwritten rules in hockey is to not touch the Stanley Cup until you win it.

The Montreal Canadiens defenseman took it a step further and drank from it with Seth Rogen during the comedian's "Hilarity for Charity" gala in Montreal which helped raise awareness for Alzheimer's.

Let's be fair, though. Subban did use a straw so he wouldn't actually touch the Cup. But one has to think that the hockey gods still wouldn't be happy about him drinking from it either.

Rogen also got a chance to erase an item off his bucket list: drinking from the Cup.

Subban poured two pitchers of beer into the holy grail and Rogen immediately started drinking.

Even Youppi, the Canadiens mascot, made an appearance, throwing Timbits out of a wheelbarrow.
