The Pittsburgh Penguins are endorsing Phil Kessel for president

America will find out who its president will be later this week, but some members of the Pittsburgh Penguins have already jumped in front of the polls and endorsed one of their own for the White House.

The nominee? Well, of course it had to be Phil Kessel.

Kessel and some teammates -- including Kris Letang -- were seen sporting some novelty shirts declaring "Phil for President" on Monday. Those shirts, which were produced by Sin Bin Apparel, also toted a campaign slogan that matches Kessel's Twitter bio: "Nice guy. Tries Hard. Loves the game."

The beloved veteran was an easy choice for the ticket. Not only is he a proud American and decorated sniper, but he's also been known to show a fiery passion for being able to represent his country.
