Toews knocks on doors looking for street hockey game

Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews is always up for a good hockey game.

With the Stanley Cup wearing a seat belt in the backseat of his car, the superstar elected to drive around his native Winnipeg before knocking on the doors of a few kids in the neighborhood.

"The best part is, they don't know we're coming," Toews said in a video released as part of a commercial for Canadian Tire. "... It's about getting kids out, being active and having fun."

The kids certainly came out, ultimately giving Toews "a break" by carrying the Stanley Cup in public before beginning their street hockey game. The 27-year-old Toews dropped the puck to begin the contest before ultimately showing his stickhandling skills by weaving around a few kids in the process.

The kids shouldn't feel badly about their defense against Toews, who helped the Blackhawks record their third Stanley Cup title in six seasons by besting the Tampa Bay Lightning in six games in June.
