Trips of a lifetime: NHL players' greatest summer vacations of 2015
As the summer days dwindle to a close, NHL players are beginning to head back to their teams' cities. Some players will arrive at camp with memories of a quiet summer spent at home, while others will reminisce about the trips of a lifetime they were able to take during their time off.
A select few in the league went above and beyond with their summer vacations, visiting exotic locations or hanging out with some famous celebrities. Here's a look at the best of the best from the league this past summer:
For Red Wings goalie Petr Mrazek, vacation meant sticking with sports as he traveled to Berlin for the Champions League Final between Barcelona and Juventus. He later traveled over to England to visit Wimbledon.
Fellow Red Wings player Tomas Jurco went to Europe too, but he headed to Budapest with his family.
Edmonton captain Andrew Ference also used the time off to take a family trip as he explored India with his wife and children.
For others, summer was a great time to get married and go on a honeymoon. That's exactly what Kris Letang and his new wife did when they jetted off to Dubai and the Maldives on their honeymoon.
New Canucks forward Brandon Prust had marriage on the mind when he proposed to his longtime girlfriend in Italy.
Jonathan Toews had a shorter summer than most since his Blackhawks played into June and won the Stanley Cup, but he still explored new regions as he went to Machu Picchu in Peru.

P.K. Subban's Canadiens bowed out earlier in the playoffs. The defenseman nursed his broken heart by yachting around the Mediterranean with friends.
Ottawa captain Erik Karlsson racked up the frequent flier miles, traveling to Las Vegas, Greece, Sweden, the Kentucky Derby and, of course, Bali.
Then there was Alexander Ovechkin who could be found partying in Vegas with Justin Bieber, as you do.
Finally, there's the Benn brothers. They went to the pool.
Looks like a fun summer.
