Vancouver Canucks vs. Arizona Coyotes: TV, Radio, News, Predictions

The Vancouver Canucks will try to get back on the winning path against a divisional opponent, the Arizona Coyotes, who are themselves struggling.

It’s probably best if the Vancouver Canucks just forget about last game.

After entering the third period down 3-1, the wheels fell off and the Canucks lost the game by a final score of 7-2.

The good news is, Vancouver is not the worst team in the league. At 29th, they is still one team they are ahead of — the Arizona Coyotes.

The even better news is that those Coyotes are in town tonight. As low as expectations for the Canucks are right now, this is a game they should be able to win. At least on paper.

    Gameday Notes:

    Lineup News:

Ryan Miller probably would have been the starter for this game, but he is out with the flu. So Jacob Markstrom will get a second straight start.

It looks like the Canucks won’t have to re-sign UBC’s Matt Hewitt, though. Instead, they have recalled Michael Garteig from the Alaska Aces. If Miller is not well enough, Garteig will dress for his first regular season game in a Canucks uniform.

In the meantime, until Garteig arrives…

    Predictions

I like a redemption story, and Jacob Markstrom is poised to get just that. After letting in 7 goals against the Rangers, most of which were not very pretty, he’ll bounce back with a shutout against Arizona.

The Canucks will get a lead (!), keep a lead (!!) and finish the game with a lead (!!!).

A CANUCKS WIN! It’ll be a close game, but Vancouver manages to score three goals and send the ‘Yotes home. Because if they don’t, there aren’t many teams left to beat.

Listen, this team has been a major letdown so far. But the Coyotes are even worse.

This is the Canucks’ chance to steal a rare win. Loui Eriksson pots the winner on a late third period power play goal.
