Watch an AHL player throw a vicious haymaker during brawl near locker rooms

Saturday night's AHL contest between the Chicago Wolves and Iowa Wild was a nasty affair both on and off the ice. It was reminiscent of the old-time hockey days in which players would beat fans with their own shoe.

Late in the game, a brawl broke out on the ice and several players were sent to the showers early after earning major fighting penalties. But before they could get to the locker rooms, the players decided that they hadn't had enough and continued to chirp at each other in the tunnel.

The Wolves' Vince Dunn seemed to get under the skin of Iowa's Kurtis Gabriel, who he had just fought on the ice moments earlier. Gabriel approached Dunn in the tunnel and the two got physical once again. After some shoving, Gabriel appeared to throw a punch at Dunn, who responded by absolutely leveling him with a heavy right that sent Gabriel to the floor.

(Also, shout out to that random shopping cart on another cart.)

There will undoubtedly be suspensions and fines that come out of this incident but sometimes you've just gotta take care of some unfinished business while the kettle is hot. However, I wonder if these guys knew that they'd have the chance to settle up when they played each other again on Sunday...
