Wild's Suter, Yeo clear the air, now on 'same page'
One day after voicing his displeasure with a new defensive pairing, Minnesota Wild blue-liner Ryan Suter told reporters that all is fine between himself and coach Mike Yeo.
"We’re obviously on the same page," the 30-year-old Suter told the Minneapolis Star Tribune on Tuesday. "It’s a story that shouldn’t even be a story. I think the heat of the practice yesterday, I was just saying stuff I probably shouldn’t have said. ... It’s not really news to me anymore."
Suter vented his frustration following a spirited practice on Monday, openly taking issue with the coaches' decision to pair him with fellow left-shot defenseman Jonas Brodin.
Yeo, who told reporters he was not bothered by Suter's comments, confirmed the pairing for Tuesday's tilt versus the Central Division-rival Chicago Blackhawks.
Minnesota is 1-4-2 in its last seven contests.
