Winnipeg Jets: Who Could be Packaged in a Trade With Jacob Trouba
It’s almost set in stone that the Winnipeg Jets will be trading Jacob Trouba, but he most likely won’t be traded by himself. These are some of the more likely players to be dealt
Drew Stafford
Drew Stafford was an absolute steal in the blockbuster deal that sent Myers to Winnipeg, and Evander Kane to Buffalo, but his contract is coming to an end, and if the Jets re-sign him he could end up in Las Vegas with the expansion draft soon approaching. This could really give the Jets a good reason to package him up with Trouba. The Jets are also looking at giving younger players opportunity to step up, which means less opportunities for 30 year old Drew Stafford.
Mark Stuart

Stuart is now 32, and is starting to get to the end of his prime. Like Stafford, he could be moved, because of the Jets mindset of giving the young guys a chance. Stuart may be pushed out of his position pretty soon by players like Jan Kostalek, Josh Morrisey, and eventually Logan Stanley. Another reason Stuart could be moved is because he can be a bit of a defensive liability at times.
Alex Burmistrov
Although Burmistrov is quite young, and has a couple years ahead of him, he could possibly see himself leaving the Winnipeg Jets organization due to their depth with centers. Last year he played in 81 games, scoring seven goals, and 14 assists for a total of 21 points.
Chris Thorburn

Even though Thorburn wouldn’t be the biggest addition to the trade, he could possibly be down to the end of his days of playing in a Winnipeg Jets jersey. The Jets have a very deep prospect pool, and Thorburn may get pushed out of his job by younger, more talented players. This opens up the possibility for a trade out of Winnipeg.
Almost anybody on the Jets could be traded, but those players are definitely the most likely to be traded, over anyone else.
