With Medvedev ailing, Flyers recall Drewiske from minors
With Evgeny Medvedev nursing an upper-body injury, the Philadelphia Flyers recalled fellow defenseman Davis Drewiske from Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League on Wednesday.
Drewiske notched one assist in nine games with the Phantoms this season. The 30-year-old has scored five goals and set up 20 others in 135 career contests with the Los Angeles Kings and Montreal Canadiens.
The #Flyers have recalled Davis Drewiske per AHL transactions. They’ll sent Chris Conner back, so still at $95,000 in cap space.

Medvedev was sent to Philadelphia for additional tests by team doctors and missed Tuesday's 4-2 road setback to the Edmonton Oilers. The 33-year-old Russian had recorded one assist and averaged 17:28 of ice time in 10 games with the Flyers.
Philadelphia also shipped forward Chris Conner back to the Phantoms, perhaps a sign that forward Sean Couturier is ready to return after missing six games with a concussion.
