Carmelo Anthony says 'This is it for me' during emotional postgame interview
After Team USA's 96-66 blowout win over Serbia in Sunday's Olympic gold medal final, Carmelo Anthony spoke with NBC's Ros Gold-Onwude about the meaning of the victory and being the first Olympian ever to win three gold medals (as a player) in the men's basketball event.
The interview was nothing short of emotional, and reinforces just how much Team USA's success means to the New York Knicks superstar:
"This is it for me," Anthony said, which sure makes it sound like Sunday was the final time he will ever put on the Team USA uniform. And if this was indeed Melo's final game, he goes out as arguably the best FIBA player in the world and Team USA's most-decorated player ever.
