AL West Fantasy News: Yu Darvish is on the comeback trail
The fantasy wasteland that is Oakland, and a shirtless Prince Fielder on deck.
Los Angeles Angels
Weekend schedule @ Minnesota (Richards, Weaver, Tropeano)
Not a great start for Mike Trout, as he's already struck out 10 times in 32 at-bats this year. The good news? He stole his first base, which hopefully is a sign of things to come. Trout only stole 11 bases last year, despite clearly having the capability to do more. Just watch him non-chalantly dunk at Warriors practice in jeans:
That would be Albert Pujols missing, Mile Trout dunking. Just another day at @warriors practice. #Angels #KTVU pic.twitter.com/GOP6qyqBOf

Hey DFS heads: The Angels get the winless Twins and uninspiring lefty Tommy Milone on Saturday. Time for an Angels stack?
Oakland A's
Weekend schedule @ Kansas City (Hill, Bassitt, Gray)
Billy Burns is not in the lineup at CF once again today, as Coco Crisp once again takes his spot. Time to sell. Oakland's bats have been a mess in general for fantasy owenrs, as Khris Davis is 5-for-30 with 14 strikeouts (yuck!) and Stephen Vogt is batting around the Mendoza line. Marcus Semien, Danny Valencia and Josh Reddick are the only trustworthy A's bats that appear to be everyday players.
Ryan Madson: 2 saves. Sean Doolittle: 1 save. Go get Madson if you still can.
Oakland's starting pitching has done their part so far this season, but the next stretch of schedule is brutal. Series against KC, NYY, DET, TOR and HOU are on tap. Oof.
Texas Rangers
Weekend schedule vs Baltimore (Perez, Lewis, Holland)
The Rangers outfield, despite the injury to Shin-Soo Chin, has been pretty productive from a fantasy standpoint. Delino DeShields has a .415 OBP and Nomar Mazara has been awesome through five games. There's a good chance both are available in your league.
Prince Fielder likes basketball, apparently:
In a minor league pitching session going up against live hitters for the first time since his Tommy John injury, Yu Darvish offered up $1,000 to anyone who could homer off him. No one did. Darvish is expected to make his debut in late May.
Seattle Mariners
Weekend schedule @ New York Yankees (Karns, Hernandez, Iwakuma)
Robinson Cano has 5 homers (yay!) but is just 2-for-32 otherwise (boo!). Cano is too good to stay this cold, and methinks his owners will gladly accept the power for the time being.
Nelson Cruz gets C.C. Sabathia on Saturday. I will be putting ALL of your eggs and bacon in that basket.
Houston Astros
Weekend schedule vs Detroit (Keuchel, McHugh, Fiers)
Carlos Gomez isn't great at fixing the outfield wall:

Sounds like there's been another setback for Lance McCullers. He's still worth holding on to in fantasy leagues, but we may be waiting longer than just a few weeks at this point.
