All things considered, Brewers might rather be in Philadelphia
There's no place like home. Well, with one exception recently for the Milwaukee Brewers.
With apologies to W.C. Fields, perhaps there's no place the Brewers would rather be than Philadelphia.
Milwaukee is 9-1 in its last 10 games at Citizens Bank Park and riding a seven-game win streak there, the longest such streak by any Phillies' opponent at their home park (no other team has a winning streak longer than six games). It is also the Brewers' longest road winning streak against one opponent since winning seven straight at Pittsburgh in 1999 and 2000.
Not surprisingly, the Brewers have dominated the statistical comparison.

Furthering Milwaukee's chances in Philadelphia is the way the Phillies have been playing as of late. After getting off to a hot 22-15 (.595) start, Phlly is just 4-12 (.250) since May 15, tied for the second-worst record in the majors over that span.
On the plus side for Philadelphia, perhaps, is how its first two starting pitchers have fared at home. Jerad Eickhoff has a 2.04 ERA in his first eight career home starts, the third-best mark for the Phillies since 1969. Friday's starter, Vince Velasquez, has an 0.74 ERA in his four home starts this season, the fourth-best such ERA under those circumstances for a Philly pitcher since 1969.
Other notes:
-- In 58 career games against the Phillies, Ryan Braun is hitting .387 with 20 home runs and 52 RBI. Braun's batting average leads all active players vs. Philadelphia and is the highest career batting average against the Phillies since Wally Pipp hit .389 (min. 150).
-- Philadelphia's Ryan Howard has the lowest batting average (.153) of any player who is leading his team in home runs (8, tied for club lead). Milwaukee's Chris Carter (.223, 13 HR) is fifth in that department.
