Angels' Mike Trout leads off MLB All-Star Game with opposite-field HR

Mike Trout wasted no time making his mark on the 2015 MLB All-Star Game.

The reigning All-Star MVP and league MVP lead off the game with a home run off National League starting pitcher Zack Greinke.

In a 1-2 count, Greinke fired a fastball off the outside of the plate -- a pitch that resulted in a line-drive shot into the first row of the right field bleachers.

Trout's opposite-field home run is the first to lead off an All-Star Game since Bo Jackson went yard in 1989 in San Francisco.

Baseball certainly is in good hands.
