Badgers predictions: Game 3 vs. Georgia State

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 11:07 p.m. ET

The first few weeks here at Prediction Central have been, well, kind of lame.

The national experts were in agreement the first two weeks in that everyone picked the same team to win.

I mean, no one would pick Akron, right?

The same is true in Week 3 as Wisconsin is a heavy favorite to beat Georgia State at home.

Certainly things around here will get a lot more interesting in the following weeks as the Badgers' schedule toughens up and there should be some differing opinions on who will win those games.

Until then, we have Georgia State. Here are this week's picks:

The Associated Press' Ralph D. Russo: Wisconsin 45, Georgia State 17.

All three Big Ten Network analysts are picking Wisconsin to win. The scores: Tom Dienhart -- 44-6; Sean Merriman -- 31-3; Brent Yarina -- 41-6.

Pete Fiutak of Collegefootballnews.com: Wisconsin 52, Georgia State 9. "Be shocked if the Badgers give up more than 50 yards on the ground. This will be over in the first quarter."

Jeff Barti of CampusInsiders.com: Wisconsin 47-3. "The Panthers knew the run was coming last week against Air Force and still couldn't stop it. Now they'll face a solid running back in Clement, who could hit four touchdowns in this one."

All four Athlon Sports analysts have Wisconsin winning.

The Whatifsports.com simulation has an average score of Wisconsin 31.7, Georgia State 22.4 with the Badgers winning 77.2 percent of the time.

Jeff Schultz of the Atlanta Journal Constitution thinks Wisconsin will win but Georgia State will cover the 34.5-point spread.

All seven CBSSports.com analysts are picking Wisconsin to win and only one -- Jerry Palm -- is taking Georgia State with the spread (34.5 points).

The Oklahoman's Berry Tramel: Wisconsin 44, Georgia State 10.

The Sports Xchange: Wisconsin 56, Georgia State 6.

Brian Pedersen of Bleacher Report: Wisconsin 58, Georgia State 14.

All seven analysts at USAToday.com pick Wisconsin to win.

All five of the ESPN.com Big Ten contributors picked Wisconsin to win.
