Badgers stay put at No. 5 in latest AP poll
After beating up on the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday, the Wisconsin Badgers stayed put at No. 5 in the nation in the latest AP Top 25 poll, released Sunday afternoon.
The top eight teams were slotted in the same spot as last week. Every team in front of Wisconsin is undefeated through seven games except for No. 1 Alabama, which is 8-0.
The most notable jump of the week is Notre Dame, which cracks the Top 10 for the first time in 2017.
Michigan, which was crushed by No. 2 Penn State 42-13, was bumped out of the poll for the first time since Sept. 27, 2015.
All signs point to the Badgers improving to 8-0 on the year, as they visit a hapless Illinois team on Saturday.
