Bauer offers classic reaction to awe-inspiring home run

Cleveland Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer had a simple reaction to Evan Gattis' impressive first-inning home run during Wednesday night's game.

But his response after the game was even better.

"Ball's two feet out of the strike zone, so what are you gonna do?" Bauer said. "That's great. I love baseball for that reason. Stuff like that happens."

That blip on the radar was one of the few mistakes Bauer made all night -- and the only runs he allowed.

Bauer recorded his 100th strikeout of the season, going eight innings, striking out nine and allowing no walks.

After a rough June, the 24-year-old has found his groove in two July outings. He'll go into the All-Star break with an 8-5 record and 3.76 ERA.
