Blake Griffin has been named the 2015 Sportsman of the Year by the Los Angeles Sports Council. The LA Clippers forward will be honored at the 11th Annual LA Sports Awards being shown by Fox Sports West/Prime Ticket on a to be determined date.
Griffin is being recognized for his outstanding play throughout last season. Voted a starter by the fans to the Western Conference NBA All-Star Team in 2015, Griffin also averaged 24 points and 13 rebounds while knocking out the reigning champion San Antonio Spurs in the first round of last year's playoffs.

In addition to Griffin's award, the ceremony will also feature Sportswoman, Coach and Sports Executive of the Years and a countdown of the year's Top 10 moments in LA sports. The award ceremony will be held on February 25.
