COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Blue Jackets announced today the schedule for daily public skating sessions at the NHL-sized ice rink that will anchor Columbus Blue Jackets Winter Park presented by Worthington Industries at McFerson Commons (across the street from Nationwide Arena) from Friday, January 22 through Sunday, February 21. To inaugurate this year's Winter Park, the Blue Jackets will hold a team practice at the outdoor rink on Friday, January 22 at noon followed by the first public skating session at 1:30 p.m. More than 130 hours of public skating will be offered over the 31 days of Winter Park.
Admission to skate will be $5 (cash only) and includes skate rental. Access to all sessions is first come, first served based on availability and the schedule is subject to change. Another attraction will be a video board near the ice rink that will show Blue Jackets games on weekends.
Concessions will be available on Fridays and Saturdays (noon to 11 p.m.) and Sundays (noon to 6 p.m.). Available items will include hot dogs, bratwurst, chips, peanuts, candy, beer, Pepsi products, coffee, hot chocolate and s'mores packs that may be prepared over fire pits within Winter Park.
