The St. Louis Blues have assigned four players to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Chicago Wolves, getting them closer to the 23-man roster with which they will open the season next week.
The players sent down: forwards Ivan Barbashev and Jeremy Welsh and defensemen Andre Benoit and Peter Harrold.
Currently, the Blues have 29 active players remaining in training camp.
The Blues will conclude their 2015 preseason schedule tonight, when they host the Chicago Blackhawks at 7 p.m. at Scottrade Center.
