As they quickly approach their regular season opener against the Chicago Blackhawks this Wednesday, the St. Louis Blues are in the final stages of trimming down their roster to meet the limit of 23 active players.

Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Saturday that the Blues have assigned defenseman Petteri Lindbohm to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.

The 23-year-old Lindbohm has played in 33 NHL games over the past two seasons, tallying two goals and an assist along with 33 penalty minutes. Lindbohm skated in 10 games during the 2015-16 campaign, failing to register a point while posting a minus-4 rating.
