ST. LOUIS -- Forward Oskar Sundqvist hasn't seen much game action in recent weeks for the St. Louis Blues, playing in just one game since January 1. He'll now have a chance to get back on the ice, though that opportunity will come in the AHL.

The Blues announced on Wednesday that they've assigned Sundqvist to the AHL's San Antonio Rampage for conditioning. In addition, the team reassigned defenseman Jake Walman from the AHL's Chicago Wolves to the AHL's Binghamton Devils.

The 23-year-old Sundqvist has dressed in 30 games for the Blues this season, collecting three assists. The 6-foot-3, 206-pound forward has played in 58 career NHL regular-season games, logging one goal and six assists. A native of Boden, Sweden, Sundqvist was acquired by the Blues from the Pittsburgh Penguins on June 23, 2017 in the trade that sent Ryan Reaves to Pittsburgh.

The 21-year-old Walman has appeared in 40 games for the Wolves this season, collecting two goals and 11 assists. The 6-foot-1, 202-pound defenseman first joined the Wolves last season, posting four goals and two assists in 15 games overall. A native of Toronto, Ontario, Walman was drafted by the Blues in the third round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
