ST. LOUIS -- The St. Louis Blues have released veteran forward Scott Gomez.

The 36-year-old Gomez was not picked up by any team after being placed on waivers this week.

The 15-year veteran attended training camp on a tryout and signed a one-year contract in October when the Blues were hampered by injuries at forward. He had one goal and eight points in 21 games.
