Goalie Ville Husso, who was with the Blues under emergency conditions as Carter Hutton dealt with a neck injury, has been assigned to the AHL's San Antonio Rampage.

ST. LOUIS -- After picking up a momentous victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday afternoon, the St. Louis Blues assigned a trio of players to the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL.

The team announced Saturday evening that forward Sammy Blais, defenseman Chris Butler and goaltender Ville Husso have been returned to the Rampage. Blais, who reported to the Blues to visit with the team's medical staff on Thursday, Mar. 8, has been medically cleared to play. Butler and Husso were both with the team under emergency conditions; Husso was recalled Thursday after goalie Carter Hutton suffered a neck injury, while Butler was recalled earlier Saturday in case any of the Blues' six defensemen were unavailable to play against the Kings.

The 21-year-old Blais has dressed in 30 games for the Rampage this season, posting 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) and 30 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound forward has also appeared in 11 games for the Blues, recording three points (one goal, two assists). The Montmagny, Quebec, native was originally drafted by the Blues in the sixth round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

Butler, 31, has dressed in 52 games for the Rampage this season, tallying 24 points (eight goals, 16 assists) and 16 penalty minutes. The 6'1, 196-pound defenseman has also played in two games for the Blues. A native of St. Louis, Butler was originally signed by the Blues as a free agent on July 16, 2014.

The 23-year-old Husso has appeared in 33 games with the Rampage this season, posting a 13-11-0 record. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound goaltender is tied for fourth in the AHL with a .926 save percentage and ranks ninth with a 2.39 goals-against average. A native of Helsinki, Finland, Husso was originally drafted by the Blues in the fourth round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
