ST. LOUIS -- Jordan Caron, we hardly knew ye.

The St. Louis Blues assigned Caron to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League on Wednesday, three days after recalling him. A healthy scratch Monday against Philadelphia, Caron got 9:22 of ice time in the Blues' win over Boston on Tuesday night.

Caron, 25, was signed by the Blues as a free agent this past offseason. The 6-foot-2, 198-pound forward has also dressed in 25 games for the Wolves this season, posting 14 points (nine goals, five assists) and 30 penalty minutes.

Caron has played in 154 NHL games for the Bruins, Avalanche and, now, the Blues.
