ST. LOUIS, Mo - Washington Capitals goalie Pheonix Copley, a former Blues prospect, made 42 saves and recorded a 4-0 shutout of the St. Louis Blues.
Chandler Stephenson, Madison Bowey, Shane Gersich and Nathan Walker scored for the Capitals.
Jake Allen played the first two periods in his first action of the exhibition season and had 19 saves on 21 shots for St. Louis. Chad Johnson played the third and finished with 14 saves on 15 shots.
