Blues sign F Danny Kristo to one-year, two-way contract

The St. Louis Blues signed forward Danny Kristo, who led the Chicago Wolves in goals last season, to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced Tuesday.

Kristo, 26, has spent the past four seasons in the American Hockey League, including stints with the Hamilton Bulldogs (2012-13), the Hartford Wolf Pack (2013-15) and the Wolves (2015-16), the Blues' AHL affiliate.

Kristo led the Wolves with 25 goals and finished second in total points (48) in 71 regular-season games last season.

Kristo, a 6-foot, 185-pounder, was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the second round (56th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

The Eden Prairie, Minnesota, native has captured three medals while representing the United States, including bronze at the 2008 U18 World Juniors, gold at the 2010 U20 World Juniors and bronze at the 2013 World Championships.
