ST. LOUIS -- The Blues have signed 2016 second-round draft pick Evan Fitzpatrick to a three-year, entry-level contract, the team announced Thursday.

The goaltender was the 59th overall pick of last year's draft.

Fitzpatrick, 19, has played the last three seasons with the Sherbrooke Phoenix of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He was 16-27-3 with a 3.46 goals-against average, .899 save percentage and one shutout in 49 games this past season, raising his overall QMJHL record to 47-64-14.

In 2014-15, the 6-foot-3, 206-pounder went 13-11-3 and was named to the QMJHL's All-Rookie Team. The following season, Fitzpatrick, a native of St. John's, Newfoundland, logged a career-best 18 wins in a career-high 54 games, earning him a spot in the Canadian Hockey League's (CHL) Top Prospects Game.
