Bout with the flu lands Blues' Dunn on injured reserve

Published Jan. 6, 2018 9:56 a.m. ET

The flu has knocked rookie defenseman Vince Dunn for a loop. After missing the St. Louis Blues' last two games, he'll be out a while longer, including their Saturday afternoon matchup with the Philadelphia Flyers after being placed on injured reserve.

Taking Dunn's roster spot is defenseman Jake Walman, who was recalled from the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.

Dunn, 21, has seven points (three goals, four assists) and eight penalty minutes through 39 games with the Blues.

Walman, 21, was a third-round Blues draft pick in 2014. He has 13 points (two goals, 11 assists) and 14 penalty minutes in 34 games with the Wolves this season.
