Brewers' Braun looks to extend on-base streak against Braves
Ryan Braun already leads the Milwaukee Brewers in most major (and not-so-major) statistical measures at the plate, but his early-season consistency ranks among the league's best.
Braun has reached base safely in 25 straight games, the second longest streak in the National League behind Miami Marlins center fielder Marcell Ozuna (30).
A hit in Tuesday night's game against the Atlanta Braves would make it just the 29th time in franchise history a player's on-base streak has reached 26 games.
Braun hasn't reached base this consistently since a 25-game streak that ran from Sept. 12, 2012-April 9, 2013.
Braun's career-high 28-game streak occurred during his NL MVP season in 2011, and lasted just over a month, from March 31-May 2.
Now, as Braun's 10th MLB season continues, his consistency is being recognized.
Braun is one of only five players to record at least 250 home runs, 40 triples and 100 stolen bases within the first nine years his MLB career, joining Hall of Famer Willie Mays and slugger Barry Bonds.

And with 51 hits and 14 walks in 54 career games against the Braves, Braun is on pace to keep his streak going.
