Brewers pitcher Davies among league's best since May
After a few rough outings early in the season Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Zach Davies has emerged as one of the team's most reliable starters.
Davies was tagged with three straight losses to open the season, posting an 8.78 ERA in April, but since then the 23-year-old right-hander has won a team-high nine starts, and has just one loss, an 8-1 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers at Miller Park, since May 1.
It's the best record in the majors over that span, while his ERA since May has dipped to just 2.86, including a .222 average for opposing batters.
