Outfielder Brett Phillips has turned things around after a disappointing 2016.
After hitting just .229/.332/.397 last season down in Double-A, Phillips has bounced back in Triple-A, and is hitting .297/.369/.589 with a team-leading 11 home runs.
Those numbers were enough to convince the Brewers, who called Phillips up Monday, announcing on Twitter that one of their top prospects is set to make his MLB debut in their series opener against the San Francisco Giants.
A sixth-round pick of the Houston Astros in 2012, Phillips was traded to the Brewers on July 30, 2015 alongside Domingo Santana, Josh Hader and Adrian Houser in exchange for Carlos Gomez and Mike Fiers, and was MLB.com's No. 32-ranked prospect heading into the 2016 season.
