Milwaukee Bucks guard O.J. Mayo is out for the rest of the season after fracturing his right ankle Thursday, the team announced in a statement.

Mayo suffered the injury when he tripped down the stairs at his home.

The USC product and seven-year NBA veteran averaged 7.8 points, 2.9 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 steals through 41 games this season, including 24 starts.

Mayo joins a lengthy list of injured Bucks that includes John Henson (lower back) and Greivis Vasquez (bone spurs) as well as Michael Carter-Williams (hip surgery) and recent signing Steve Novak, who played just 19 minutes for Milwaukee before suffering a knee injury.

Both Carter-Williams and Novak are also out for the remainder of the season.
