Carlos Gomez to Noah Syndergaard on head shot: 'Put that behind you, brother'

Milwaukee Brewers All-Star center fielder Carlos Gomez is doing just fine after getting drilled in his helmet on Sunday by a 96-mph fastball from Mets 24-year-old hurler Noah Syndergaard.

"I hope Gomez is OK," the 6-foot-6 Syndergaard said after the game -- only his second MLB start. "It's never really happened. It kind of rattled me a little bit."

No harm, no foul, plus Gomez appears to appreciate that playing in the bigs means he'll have to stand in the batter's box against giants like Syndergaard nicknamed "Thor."
