Clippers' JJ Redick brings the heat in first pitch to Mike Trout

Whoa there, cowboy. That's the best player in baseball you're short hopping that pitch to.

Prior to the Angels' tilt with the Boston Red Sox, Clippers guard JJ Redick had the honor of throwing out the game's first pitch with Angels center fielder Mike Trout posted up behind home plate. Determined to top teammate DeAndre Jordan's looping first pitch effort from a year ago, Redick vowed to show his baseball prowess by throwing 'a dart' to the former AL MVP.

The velocity was definitely there on the pitch but Redick is clearly much more accurate from 23 feet out on the hardwood than he is from 60 feet on the rubber. Luckily, Trout expertly snagged Redick's heater in the dirt and popped up all smiles from behind home plate.
