Colts could address RB, WR needs on draft Day 3
INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Colts enter the final day of the NFL draft with four picks left and a number of key needs on offense.
The Colts have a fourth-round pick, two in the fifth and one in the seventh round as the draft comes to a close Saturday. Indianapolis may look at running back and receiver to give quarterback Andrew Luck more weapons when he returns.
Second-year general manager Chris Ballard used five draft picks in the first two days on prospects he is hoping will toughen up his rebuilding team in the trenches. The picks include two offensive linemen, two defensive ends and an outside linebacker.
Ballard says he was frustrated at times last season because it seemed like the Colts were overmatched physically. His picks are intended to stop that.
The Colts finished 4-12 last year and have missed the playoffs for three consecutive years.
