The Chicago Cubs, who have come up short in their quest to win a championship in each of the last 327 years (approximately), are nonetheless set as the favorites on the odds to win the 2016 World Series. The Cubs are the +500 favorites on those updated baseball futures, ahead of the +800 San Francisco Giants and the +1000 Toronto Blue Jays. The New York Mets, who bounced the Cubs from the playoffs last season, are at +1200 on the World Series odds for 2016, while the defending-champion Kansas City Royals are a step back of them at +1400.
