Doc Rivers named Western Conference Coach of the Month after 11-3 run
After an 11-3 record in January, Doc Rivers was named the Western Conference Coach of the Month.
During the month (with star forward Blake Griffin nursing injuries), the Clippers shot 47.3 percent from the field (third best in the NBA), ranked sixth in scoring (107.9 points) and seventh in points allowed (99.7). The squad earned big victories over the Heat, Bulls, Hawks, Rockets and Pacers.
The 11-3 mark was also the best record for January in Clippers history.
The Clippers are currently 32-16, good enough for fourth best in the Western Conference, and return to action on Wednesday vs. Minnesota starting at 7 p.m. on Prime Ticket.
Congrats to @DocRivers
