Dodgers' Hernandez becomes real-life rally banana in win over Giants

Los Angeles Dodgers utilityman Kike Hernandez taught everyone an important lesson on Monday: If you can't contribute on the field, you can still encourage your teammates by dressing up as a banana.

Hernandez, who was put on the 15-day disabled list with a hamstring injury in the afternoon, rallied his teammates to a 5-4, 14-inning win against the Giants later that night with the help of his banana suit.

According to Hernandez, it was GM Andrew Friedman who ordered him to get in the dugout while in full costume. Via InsideSoCal.com:

With the Dodgers pulling out a win thanks to an Adrian Gonzalez bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 14th,  Hernandez's work was done.
