Dolphins center Mike Pouncey isn't worried after leaving game with knee injury
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) -- Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey left his team's exhibition game Saturday against the Atlanta Falcons with a knee injury, and he's scheduled to undergo an MRI on Sunday.
"I ain't concerned at all," he said. "I'll be back at practice next week. I ain't missing no games. I'm playing. We've got a big season ahead of us."
The injury left the Dolphins with only two offensive line starters at their regular positions.
Pouncey was hurt when another player fell on his leg. He departed in the first quarter, returned briefly and then left again.
"I thought I was OK," he said. "I wanted to go back out there and test it out. Once I realized I couldn't play, they pulled me from the game."
Pouncey's twin, Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey, previously was sidelined this preseason with an ankle injury.
