Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf named NHL's 'First Star of Month' for February
20 points in 14 games ... Ryan Getzlaf is on fire!
The Anaheim Ducks captain picked up 'First Star of the Month' honors for February, the NHL announced on Tuesday.
The other two stars were Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin and Predators left wing Filip Forsberg.
It was a historic February for the Ducks, with the most wins (12) in one calendar month in franchise history. Getzlaf netted at least one point in 13 of his 14 outings, including three game-winning goals (Feb. 13 at Chicago, Feb. 18 at Vancouver and Feb. 21 vs. Calgary).
The Ducks, currently 34-19-8 and second in the Pacific Division, host the Canadiens on Wednesday at 6:30p on Prime Ticket.
