Durant not surprised Aldridge left Blazers for Spurs
Getting by the Spurs in the playoffs has been one of the toughest tasks of Kevin Durant's career.
Now, it appears to have gotten even tougher with LaMarcus Aldridge moving to San Antonio.
Was Durant surprised to see Aldridge move from one Western Conference playoff team to another?
"No, I wasn't," Durant told reporters at the Orlando Summer League on Saturday. "You could kind of tell once this whole thing started he was trying to go somewhere else.
"In those decisions, you've just got to respect the guy for making a decision that was right for him. I know a lot of fans were probably upset in Portland. At this point in your life and your career, you've got to focus on you."
All the attention will be on Durant during free agency next summer, but the only thing on his mind right now is getting back on the court of the Thunder.
"I haven't thought about it," he said. "I hear it all the time. I'm just focusing on rehab. I can't get there unless I take care of today. That's how I try to look at it even though I hear from every side thinking to next summer. I'm not trying to focus on that.
"I'm excited about our team, new coaches, and just trying to get back right."
