EA Sports unveils 'GIFERATOR' for all your Madden '15 trash-talking needs
In the wake of the hysterical Madden 15 glitches that included the ejection pad defenders and miniature linebackers, here's one feature EA Sports produced intentionally: the "GIFERATOR," a platform for making customized GIFs with trash talk.
Basically, it's a clever and fun way of getting people to discuss the game on social media channels.
The template is pretty idiot-proof. You can choose from a few players on each team, select varying backgrounds and pre-made taunts or enter your own. Clearly, you should enter your own words. Madden '15 will also auto-generate GIFs, some of which will appear on the GIFERATOR website.
I wanted to give it a whirl and show you what the GIFs look like (read: kill some more time until NFL kickoff!!!), so here's a few samples:
For most teams you can probably predict which players are available for GIF-making. Then I wondered whom EA Sports would queue up for the Raiders. The players are: 36-year-old kicker Sebastian Janikowski, backup quarterback Matt Schaub, 37-year-old safety Charles Woodson, past-his-prime rusher Maurice Jones-Drew with millions of miles on the wheels, and 32-year-old free agent acquisition Antonio Smith. The Raiders also face the stacked NFC West this season.
One more for silver and black fans:
