Eagles' OT Lane Johnson says Philadelphia doesn't really have home field advantage at Linc

The Philadelphia Eagles (4-6) players heard their fans loud and clear during this past Sunday's embarrassing 45-17 blowout loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-5) on their own Lincoln Financial Field.

"If we get down by any significant amount of points or we don't make any first downs, we're going to get booed," offensive tackle Lane Johnson told Birds 24/7. "That's just kind of how it is. It's not really home field advantage playing here anymore. Really, that's the truth. Cats here, they really don't care."

The Eagles drafted the third-year lineman with the fourth overall pick in the 2013 NFL draft, head coach Chip Kelly's first year at the helm.

The frustrated lineman didn't characterize the booing (by notoriously rough Philly fans) as an entirely bad thing.

"I know they're mad, they care a lot about this team," he added. "I care a lot about this team. It just sucks when we can't go out there and produce because I really want to win and bring a championship to this city one day."

Later on Tuesday, Johnson backpedaled from his statement, saying "our fans deserve better." Here's his full comment:
